How do I turn this ‘feature’ off? If I untick the option under Series Properties, it gets ticked again after I publish (and the published file has the hyperlinks)!
Also, is there an issue with file dating, as Windows Explorer just shows the creation date of a particular .blw file, not when it was last changed - or is that a new windows ‘feature’?
Forget the ‘gets ticked again’ bit - still publishes the hyperlinks tho…

It seems there might be a little bug in Sailwave that if you do turn
off the publish SailorID as a hyper-link it does work for the HelmID
field its self but not if there is a value in the HelmID field for
the Helm Name field.
Leave this one for Jon to address.
For me, using Sailwave v2-19-1 which is not generally available, the
check box remains off when I save the file. But to the best of my
knowledge the code for this has not been touched in several years.
Also the time stamp is updated for me when I save Sailwave files.
I am running Microsoft Vista with all latest updates and as I said
Sailwave 2-19-1.
Kind regards,
Huw

I did test this and un-ticking the publish Sailor ID’s as hyperlinks works as expected and the Sailor ID’s don’t then have hyperlinks.
The Hyper-linking of the Sailor name was never intended to be turned off by this option
The Sailor name gets a Hyperlink if you enter the personal website for the competitor in the competitors details - this is the first priority. If there is nothing entered for the personal website for that competitor but there is an ISAF ID then it will create a link to the ISAF ID page for that competitor - if there is nothing here then it won’t create a hyperlink.
Just wondering why you would want to turn it off anyway?
As for Windows Explorer dates. Files in Windows have 2 date and times a) The creation date and time b) The modified date and time. You would appear to have yours set to display Created time you can change this to Modified time or even display both. Right click on the column headers and you will get the options.
Thanks Craig for supporting Sailwave - you are correct that part of the free software deal is to have a hyperlink to Sailwave on the results. In this instance what Mike is referring to is Hyperlinks which Sailwave creates in the published results when the ISAF ID is supplied and published.
Hi Jon
Thanks for quick reply
I'd used the Sailor ID field for some competitor ages as I wanted age group (for all) and actual age (for the younger ones). I'll try using a different field for the age and see what happens then - I don't like the printed output with some entrants hyperlinked and some not: messy!
Thanks also for the date tip.
