When we post the sailwave file to our website the results cannot be read in anything later than IE 8.
I Publish the results and Emial to the lady who does the website. she uploads them. They used to be fine to read now I am told it is unformated html.
When i publish the results to email so they can be sent to the Up River website they are attahcedng at .htm files not .html
what are we doing wrong?
Hi Simon,
Welcome to the User Group.
I think “BlueBoy” was correct on the Yachts and Yachting Forum that you have not named the files correctly. In that they have no extension.
At some point either when you save them or when you upload them to the webserver you need to have either a .htm or a .html extension to the file name.
If it is the case that you have one of these extensions and it is still a problem. Please let us know.

Hi Jon,
When I send the results to Sue they are sent in the format above, as you can see they are a .htm file.
However when Sue posts them to the website we get the un formatted string.
Am I correct in assuming the file is OK as I send it, because when I send to the Lightning Webmaster we do not have an issue.
Any help would be gratefully received.

FWIW, your results file looks fine in my e-mail (Thunderbird 17.0) which suggests to me that it’s the upload to website bit that’s causing the problem…
Good luck with sorting this - I hate comms

Hi Simon,
The file that you posted is displayed fine in IE9 and as Mike said it is correct for him also. So it is definitely a problem with the webserver or the upload to the web server that is the issue. Someone here may be able to help you with that, but it is not a problem with Sailwave. I guess you would have the same problem with any other file not displaying correctly as well.

Have had a look, looks as though it is being posted to the website as a text file or file with no extension, and not an .html file
