Publishing problem

Hi,
I have been using Sailwave for almost two years to publish results to our club website without problem, as recently as last weekend.

Now, without knowingly making at setting changes to either Sailwave or the PC, Sailwave reports - “Can not connect to …”
Using a seperate FTP client I have confirmed that the webserver is up and running correctly and indeed have uploaded the .htm file ‘manually’ to get the results published

I am using Sailwave 2.16.7 on Vista and have tried the following to no avail;

  • Double/triple checked settings in Global/FTP
  • Turned off windows firewall
  • Disabled Anti-virus (AVG)
  • Re-booted PC
  • Re-booted router

I am obviously missing something - any thoughts would be most welcome.
Many thanks
Mike

I had something like this - it turned out that the club had changed its web host! On another site it turned out that the webmaster had not paid for another year’s subscription,

Hi George,
Thank you for that.
In this case, I can confirm that all is OK with the website. I can access it with a standalone FTP client using the same credentials as entered into Sailwave.

I have also had this problem…thought it
was just us…often it uploads on the 3rd or 4th attempt…not
found a reason yet.

HI All,

Obviously some Gremlins in the system.
Publishing now seems to be working OK. No idea what was going on - some PC related problem.

Many thanks

Mike
