Publishing Results

I’d like to display the results from a series showing each Race for a few seconds and then moving to the next etc etc until finally display the Series Results. Similar to a movie or slide show.

Does any one know how to do this?

Sorry if posted twice, am still getting used to forums.

Colin posted a script to do something this some time ago:

"Sailwave currently one has one "effect" that you can apply when publishing - a scroller that scrolls the page up and down.
I had a fiddle tonight with another one called matrix.js that (if JS is enabled) hides everything and selectively shows the results tables (only works for results) from a dynamically created matrix of links (it scans the DOM).
Possibly useful when publishing lots of scored groups to one page.
Demo:-

Further to my previous email, in the second window of Publish, there is an Effects option, where the scroller effect can be incorporated in your results to show on screen.

That scrolls down but when it reaches the end just stop.

I have seen it go from race to race and then to the series and then start again.

Thanks though…

Will have a play with this.

I’ve just been experimenting a little with this. There are a couple of “Add-ons” for Firefox that might help.

The first is “ScrollyFox” and it automatically scrolls down the web page. It has options to alter the speed, reverse to the top or jump to the top and to reload the page; so it’s a little more flexible than the script offered in the Sailwave publisher.

The second is “Tab Slideshow” and it automatically cycles through the tabbed web pages.

Combine these with running Firefox in full screen. (use F11 to toggle Full Screen on and off) and you might be able to get what you need.
