Keep with it as latest versions are MUCH more flexible.

Subject: [sailwave] questions
Hi! I have three questions that I hope you all can help me with. I am
running Sailwave 1.88.
-----Scoring system - I score by sail number - I have three fleets in a
single start and the program is not recognizing individual fleets - very
frustrating to have to go back in and rescore by hand - HELP!!
You need to score by fleet column (assuming you have set one up)
1.8x now requires you to set up your own scoring systems.
This means that you can score by many more options than just fleet or overall as per 1.57
So for example, you could have a General Handicap event with 3 fleets
If you set up two scoring systems - 1 by fleet & 1 for all boats
you can produce 3 separate series’ results or everyone together
(useful options for prizes, assuming they all sail the same course)
-----When I publish to my printer is there a way to change the preset upper
and lower margins other than what my software lets me - I have a long list
of sailors that I would like on one sheet and would like to utilize the
upper (and/or lower ) empty space
Don’t know about this one.
Publishing is not one of SWs strong points
- it is only 99% excellent
Unless others have a better idea, try publishing to Excel & playing with the data in there
-----Even though I hide unsailed races they still print out - suggestions?
What I did do is to delete the rest of my races (so that they don’t show)
but then I will have to put them back in each week that I score -
When publishing results, there are options as to what races etc you want to print
This may be what you are looking for
Some new features are that results will be published in whatever order you have displayed initially on the screen
eg if you score overall & then sort by say class, the printed results will be in that order (I think!)
Also, a REALLY good feature for SW as a whole is that if you press F2, all the tool tips are displayed for that screen.
Gets rid of the irritation of trying to read & understand the tool tip before it disappears
-----I never had any of these problems with 1.57 - any suggestions would
really be appreciated.
Thanks! Betty
