I am using PHRF ToT (use A and B fields) with A = 700 and B = 550 as the rating system. There are 2 boats that have the same corrected time. I also use Apply IASF Appendix A8.1 and Apply IASF Appendix A8.2. The score for the two boats is 1, when I believe they should be 1.5 based on RRS 2013-2016 Appendix A7. Am I doing something wrong? Attached is a sample .blw.

Check to see if “Non-standard race tie options”. If it is checked make sure that “Average points (standard Appendix A)” is checked in the Race-tie resolution section.

The “Non-standard race tie options” was not checked. However, I checked it and verified that the “Average points(standard Appendix A)” was checked, did a rescore, and still got the same results. Can you try the .blw on your system?

I have done some tests and you have found a scoring problem :-(
I have changed versions of Sailwave and tested scoring, my findings
are
2.9.7 scores the tied boats with average points of the two
positions, i.e. 1.5
2.12.3 scores tied boats with average points of the two
positions, i.e. 1.5
2.13.4 and subsequent versions scores tied boats with points
equal to the higher position, i.e.1.0
Hopefully Jon will see this and start investigating, find out what
has happened between versions2.12.3 and 2.13.x+ versions and correct
the problem.
Short term fix is to go back to using Sailwave version 2.12.3.
Kind regards,
Huw

This should fix this issue, if you would like to give it a try.
This has reverted the change to fix the issue when flights are in use and there is only one finisher in each. So that is a known issue which I will fix shortly but this has existed for many years and not caused a major problem.
