after a starting and timing cock up we voided 1 start in a race night
with 9 starts. Race night is 1 of a series of 12 races. All other
starts ok on this night ok. How do I deal with this and publish in SW.
Mike Swingler, Flushing Sailing Club
Hi Mike,
If the boats did not sail then you would leave their result out and Sailwave
will enter DNC, or if scoring by group and each group has a separate start
Sailwave will realise that the race was not sailed and just leave the result
cells alone.
But I think I'm misinterpreting you...?
Regards,
Colin

Hi Colin,
The race was messed up on 1 start by the race officer, and timing of
boats was invalidated, so its not really a dnc as far as results
published are concerned, although it scores that.

I still haven't sorted this out. The results were all entered before
the mistake was found and the race abandoned. If I change the
results and give the boats DNC they are given DNC points which is
wrong.
If I delete the race it is deleted for all the other fleets. If I
use BYE the gross scores are right but the discards are wrong. I
just want to tell SW that this one start is to be ignored and the
race to be treated as if it hadn't happened.

Hi Mike,
you need to right click on each affected result cell and select Clear
result. I need to enhance this to clear results for a start, you can do it
for everybody in a race from the edit menu but not by start.
