Hi all,
We normally run our races based on NHC or IRC TCFs which are time on time.
The club is going to host a fun event where there is a fixed time of 24hours.
Rather than have a pursuit race format, we would like everyone to start together and finish together.
The thought is then use a Time on Distance factor to assess who has sailed the relatively greater distance over the 24 hours.
Does anyone have experience in this kind of set time race? Any tips are welcome.
I was planning on using the IRC published formula of ToD = 600 / TCC to create the new correction factors.
How do I plug this all into Sailwave where the start and finish times are set but the distances will be different?
