Would anyone be able to point me to the best way to handle races where a class sails under two handicaps at the same time (both ToT), so two sets of results are published. A boat can enter under either or both handicaps.
Reading back through posts, 'aliases' get a mention, but I can't find these in the current version. Also "use multiple scoring systems (rarely used)" look interesting, but I can't quite figure it out!

Do you mean if the boat say sails with a spinnaker it has a different handicap. The answer is you can set a handicap specifically for that race for that boat...
Right click the result - Edit Result / Click Rating Tab - set a new rating...
Not quite. Effectively you have a single class. Each boat in the class has two handicaps (sometimes there are three handicaps, but we’ll stick with two for the moment), one of the handicaps is a pure boat measurement handicap (like IOR, IRC, etc.), the other is a performance related handicap (like a golf handicap, the better you perform, the harder your handicap becomes). For each race, we then publish two sets of results, one using the boat measurement handicap, and one using the performance related handicap. So a boat could win the race under handicap ‘A’, but only be 3rd or 4th under handicap ‘B’. Normally a boat will submit two handicap certs, but if the only submit one, they’ll only get a result under that handicap, and would be a DNE/DNC under the other.
Challenge is to enter elapsed time only once for each competitor (per race), then publish two sets of results - one for each handicap system.

Aliasing (and multiple scoring) are turned on under 'User Interface'.
I usually enter boats under system A, which gets used for the time data input, then create a copy entry using 'New Like' which gets edited to use system B (rating, fleet change, etc.) and to be an alias of the original entry. (If the only difference between system A and system B is rating then you don't need the 'Multiple Scoring Systems' option.)

At Long Beach Race Week last weekend we had competitors in the big boat fleet who had both IRC and PHRF handicaps. We entered the competitors in the PHRF fleet and then created an Alias of each boat that also had an IRC handicap and placed them in an IRC fleet. I have included the link to the results.
