Rank - doesn't show order of competitors in series

I'm new to sailwave and have put together the results for a travelling series. Everything seems OK apart from the Rank column which is ranking everyone as 1st unless 2 competitors have the same overall points.

Can someone tell me what I need to do (and what I've done wrong) to get the Rank saying 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc.

It sounds as if you have clicked the sort option to sort by rank after scoring. I don’t know why that breaks things, but it does.

I managed to get the Rank showing correctly.

When you score the series the options are to score the competitors as one group (the default) or score groups of competitors separately.

I had used the default but when I changed it to score groups of competitors separately it then ranked the competitors 1st 2nd 3rd etc.

I had tried putting all competitors in a fleet to see if it made any difference (didn't) then I changed the scoring method to score groups of competitors separately and used a grouping field of Fleet.

Still unsure why it didn't rank with the first method
