I have changed my ratings file as some of the ratings have changed.
I have edited the csv file in notepad, keeping the commas and spaces correct
On searching for and allocating the boat (e.g. Laser Radial, which did have a VY rating of 116, but now is 118.5) the rating reverts to the old 116.
Any ideas?

Hi Rob - If you already have a boat class (type) with a rating in use Sailwave will use that rating. This way it allows you to override the ratings file for local variations.
If you require it to set the ratings of all competitors from the ratings file then tick the box shown below. This will update the ratings to your new file when you score.

Thanks Jon,
I noted that I did have that auto set competitor ratings set as ticked.
I unticked and re-ticked it with no change
The program does allow me to manually enter the new yardstick, but wants to default to the old yardstick for that class, even when I add a new competitor
Interestingly, when I create a new laser standard, the new yardstick of 114 is populated, but not for laser radial
My Sailwave file and the ratings folder are kept in my Dropbox
Most strange!

Hi Rob,
Have you actually scored the series. The ratings will only get updated when you score the series.
Make sure you have the global options Folders pointing to the location of your ratings file
You can see if you select Help - Log book where Sailwave is loading its ratings from and how many ratings it has loaded

Cheers Jon,
The trick was to score the series!
I assumed that the lookup would work when adding a new boat or selecting the class from the edit competitor window.
When I score the series, the correct yardstick is displayed.
My ratings folder is setup correctly on checking the help > log function
Thanks yet again for your help
