Just a question to the developpers…
I find in Sailwave Help following sentences:
- The number of files in the folder is arbitrary but you should ensure that ratings are not duplicated with conflicting values across files; in such cases, Sailwave will use one of the values, but which one it uses is unspecified.
- You can mix rating systems in a single file but it’s more usual not to.
As usual in Belgium, North and South do exactly the same but not the same way…
Flanders uses yardsticks CT = ET * BaseNumber / BoatNumber
Wallon Region and Brussels are working with TCF’s… CT = ET * TCF
Some questions to help me developping national resources for Sailwave:
- Flanders does it like the Dutch, and the Dutch are using “SW-cijfers” with BaseNumber 100.0
So how can I define the handicap system otherwise than as Custom? - possible choices for the South are TCF (time correcting factor) or TCC (time correcting coefficient). I think they are just the same system… also known as TMF (time multiplying factor). When I select “TCC” as handicap system, I assume the rating files with system=TCF are ignored? or am I wrong?
- I can publish two files, PY-like (see http://www.detroy.org/documents/BELratings_PY.csv ) or TCF see http://www.detroy.org/documents/BELratings_TCF.csv ), but according to the help info above, can I publish the same classes as PY and TCF in the same file, then the selection in [scoring systems] determines which records is used. Similarly, to avoid confusion between TCC and TCF, can I duplicate the list with TCC and TCF as System?
