Some tips to improve your work when you are working with rating files…
You may be working in different environments : dinghy, keelboats, “cruisers”, so some boat types may be conflicting (example, Open 570 with TCF 0.8021 in Handicap National and 1.0438 in keelboat table).
Sailwave selects just one record in any rating file found in the ratings folder… So you are never sure you are using the right rating.
I solved the problem by creating sub-folders, one for each system. One for HN, one for VL (dinghies) and QS (keelboats), and further as necessary.
So Sailwave will be unable to find rating files with the boats you are looking for in the main folder, then you select the new folder containing the relevant files.
What if you have different fleets in the same event ? Hope it works if you enter all the keelboats with rating files in ratings/vl/ then you enter the cruisers with the rating files in ratings/hn/ …
