Rating information - O'Pen Bic?

This is not really a Sailwave question, but knowing the group members are involved in scoring I hope some one can assist me!

Does anyone in the Sailwave users group have ihandiap nformation on a boat called an O'Pen Bic?

I am the Season Score Keeper for an organizatioon called Great South Bay Yacht Racing Association. The YRA has an end of season championship race called Queen Of The Bay. There are four trophies:
- First yacht to finish, regardless of hull type (usually won by a multihull);
- First Conventional (defined as one hull) Yacht to finish;
- First multihull on corrected time;
- First monohull on corrected time.

The Notice Of Race specifies that corrected times will be calculated using current US Sailing Portsmouth Numbers (wind handicaps). It further stipulates the boat's Portsmouth DPN number must be 120 or lower to be eligible.

Sounds simple enough to score.

Except I can not find ANY handicap information for the O'Pen Bic.

Hi

I found a number 1.454 here: http://www.vaurien.it/www.vaurien.it/Info_Tecniche_-_regolamento_di_Stazza_attivita_zonale_files/PY%20CLDist2010.pdf
However, I don't know how to convert this to a D-PN number as used by the software.

Regards
Bruce

According to:

http://www.vaurien.it/www.vaurien.it/Info_Tecniche_-_regolamento_di_Stazza_attivita_zonale_files/PY%20CLDist2010.pdf

the PY of an Open Bic is 1454 (ignore the decimal point). The PY of an optimist is 1646

According to:

http://offshore.ussailing.org/Portsmouth_Yardstick/Current_Tables/Centerboard_Classes.htm

The Optimist wind adjusted PY is 124, therefore 1454/1646 gives you A unofficial PY of an Open Bic at 109.5

Unless I am completely wrong!

On the German lake "Edersee" they use an YS of 123 for the Open Bic and 175 for an Optimist.
