Rating system VY creates a New Rating

Hi I score a small fleet by HNC1 and have new Rating selected for printout.
So I see the original rating and the new rating.

When scoring using VY I have the same print format showing the original & new rating.
I am not sure why VY has a new rating which is different from the original.
I thought HNC1 has a back calculated rating but not VY.

The 2 printouts are slightly different in the new rating values.

If you could explain how the VY rating system works please.

Hi Phillip,

Just had a look at your file.

Once you use the NHC scoring profile, the ratings are changed and New (Next0 Rating will be published even when you then score by one of your alternative scoring systems.

To not show the New Rating column for the VY (now known as AS) scoring profile you will have to remember to set the column to not be published.

The way around this is to use ‘Aliases’ as I discussed with you in our recent email exchange. You should make the NHC fleet an alias of the VY fleet.

Using aliases you can still choose which fleet to publish results for or all at once

Yes it does makes sense.
When I pluck up the courage after the season ends I will have a go at “Aliasies”
