Rating Values

Last season I used 2.19.8 the rating values field which is displayed on the left side field had a value of 0

I notice in both 2.24 and 2.25.4 the rating values field has a value of 104

all three sw levels are loaded with the same data file. What is the significance of this value?

Thanks,

George Morin

Hi George,

Please could you share examples of Sailwave .BLW files? As it is

difficult to say why the difference without looking at the files.

Kind regards,

Huw

Huw,

Thank you for the reply. On closer examination I found the global path to the ratings file was incorrect which resulted in the 0 value in rating values. when I corrected the path I now had a rating values =104 in version 2.19.8. I am not sure I understand what the 104 value represents, suspect maybe number of entries in the rating file.

Hi

Great to hear you have solved the problem.

I think it is the number of ratings in the rating file you are

using. Like the highlighted bit in the screen capture below and
attached in case it does not show in-line in your email client.

Kind regards,

Huw

Hi Huw,

To the best of my knowledge I am not using the rating file. The file is there and populated from the sailwave install. I input our New England PHRF ratings as i build the competitors. Is that ratings file just for reference? I just want to be sure it is not being used in any way in processing our scores.

Thank you,

George

Hi George,

FYI - Sailwave automatically on start-up loads any data held in

CSV files in the ratings folder. I have so many ratings loaded
because I have 4 files containing different ratings in my ratings
folder.

You do not need to worry about them in your current case.

Kind regards,

Huw
