Ratings

Is there a method of changing a boat's rating within a series without changing the rating used for previous races? In club races, we allow cats and monos to sail with or without crew and with different sail configurations. We have the appropriate PYs and SCHRSs on file but if the rating is changed for one race then it seems to be applied for the whole series. Thanks.

Hi Roger,

That is not a problem with Sailwave you can change the Rating for any race of any competitor, if you right click on the result and select edit result you should see something like this:-

If you select the Rating tab you can enter the rating for this race and you can also tick the box to Use until the next rating is specified. Which I guess is what you would typically do in your situation. The rating would then stay at the new rating until you change it back.

Hope this helps

Jon

For that boat, if you right click on the race for the handicap to be changed, select `Edit Result', then in the window that opens, select the 2nd Tab, Rating. In that window, enter the new rating in the Race Rating box, and check the `Use until next ...' box if appropriate.
