With more extensive testing, I had the same result as Malcom. I had a crash after selecting “WP” from the plugins menu. My error message was similar to his.

Hi,
I’ve hopefully got it to a workable state now Sailwave 2.10.1 , This will hopefully run on Windows Linux and Mac (Linux and Mac using Wine) If anyone could find some time to test that would be great. It would also be good if anyone can do some stability testing under Windows as well. This version is built with the latest compiler so it should perform the same as 2.9.7 with just a few cosmetic differences.
Andy I’m still interested how well the previous version worked on your Linux - Did it work for you to edit competitors and check for latest version?
I wouldn’t worry about the Work in Progress item. If that is the only thing that didn’t work that is probably something else. If anyone else still wants to test Sailwave 2.10.0 then please let me know those results.
Thanks
Jon

Jon, et all,
I have just been doing some testing in the following environment:
VirtualBox 4.2.12 VM
Linux Mint 13 (Maya) 64bit
Wine 1.4.1 (i.e. standard version of Wine available in Mint 13)
Wine 1.5.30 ( installed using the following command lines in a
terminal window
sudo add-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install wine1.5
**Wine 1.4.1**
Sailwave2.10.0 encountered a serious problem on closing Sailwave
Sailwave2.10.1 encountered a serious problem when selecting Publish
Race Results
**Wine 1.5.30**
Sailwave2.10.0 encountered a serious problem on closing Sailwave
Sailwave2.10.1 encountered a serious problem when selecting Publish
Race Results
In testing using Wine 1.4.1 & 1.5.30 above the default Windows
used was XP. I have also tried using Vista & Windows 7 as
default Wine Windows versions and the same message ‘Sailwave
encountered a serious problem and needs to close’
Kind regards,
Huw
