My Club has just tried to give points for race 5 based on the average points for the previous 4 races. We used code RDGb as this says Average points for all races preceding the race in question.
Usually we expect the av points not to change the places of the other boats in the race, but Sailwave appears to have done so. There is not a choice to adjust other scores or not.
Have we done something incorrectly ?
Yes it would appear you have something wrong. All the scoring codes have a properties tab where you can specify whether other competitors scores are changed. You can also create scoring codes which take the average of any specified races.

Hello Jon
Thanks for your reply.
We have found that the solution is not to try to use Sail num Wizard to enter a code to replace the previously input time, as Sailwave just ignores the change.
It is necessary to go to Edit Race, choose the race involved, then on the Edit Result window DELETE the elapsed or finished time previously input , then insert the required code. Sailwave then corrects it and retains it.
