Redress...

When giving redress as an average, it seems to me like Code RDGa
gives you an average of ALL races before the actual. This is not
necessary how it's done. I realised that a jury can give a boat
redress as an average of r1,r2 and r4.....

This may be done because r3 might have been a DSQ, or other things.
Had a situation where 2 boats had a collision, and they had boat
damages. When the boats was repaird, there had been 2 more races....
One of the boats then god redress in both races it missed! But it
would not be right to take an average og his "redress" in r4, when
giving redress in r5.... OK ?

It would have been nice if you could select wich racese to use when
calculating an averages....

Hi,

Sailwave follows the recommendations in RRS2001-2004 Appendix A for the
averaging methods. At present any variations need to be done by hand and
then the hand-calculated redress points entered. I agree there are
possibilities to extend this in the future; I've saved your message for
later reference.
