Regatta aftermath problems

Scored regatta, Sailwave worked well even when dealing with the
various redress problems that cropped up. Published, on paper, the
results by fleet. So far so good.
We were also awarding Overall Regatta Champ,and 23 and under and 18
and under. So I scored overall and eyeballed the 23s and 18s. Here is
where the rot starts. The 29er fleet sailed two more races than the
other fleets so Sailwave inserted DNC into the last two races for all
non 29er competitors and recalculated the scores on this basis. As a
result I had to do more eyeballing of results to make sure I had the
correct overall winners.
After this I wanted to publish to the web by fleet. So I hit Score by
fleet and, you have guessed it, all those DNCs that were inserted
remained and altered the scores for many competitors because the DNC
became their discard.
Tried unscoring and that didn't work. Tried to delete the last two
races and Sailwave would delete one of the races but not both. Eg I
could get rid of race 9 but it would not delete race 10. I highlighted
the column and went to delete race. Worked OK for race 9 but when I
highlighted race 10 the dialog box kept saying delete race 9.
I had hoped that by deleting these last two races I could rescore all
fleets except the 29ers. Then I could have rebuilt the 29er scores by
editing individual competitors. How do I send the file to you? Bye

Hi Donald,

Tried to delete the last two
races and Sailwave would delete one of the races but not both. Eg I
could get rid of race 9 but it would not delete race 10. I highlighted
the column and went to delete race. Worked OK for race 9 but when I
highlighted race 10 the dialog box kept saying delete race 9.

Once you delete race 9, race 10 will become race 9, so it will say it's
deleting race 9 both times.

Yes, that's a bit of an ugly that was discussing a week or so ago on the
group; apologies for the inconvenience. I'll be doing somthing to avoid it
in the next release. Your other option was to use the Tools menu to clear
the results for a race.
