Rule A9

We are assessing sailwave to use at Swanage sailing club. Can someone
help with rule A9, which we apply to our series scoring. i.e certain
codes such as DNF score the number of boats in the race plus 1 rather
than the number in the series plus 1, this encourages people to enter
more races. How do I get sailwave to score like this?

Open the series file, click on Scoring System, click on the scoring codes
tab, and then click on whichever is the most appropriate of the two reset to
default buttons at the bottom (in your case, long club series).

This makes DNF etc worth No of boats in race + 1 (as it will say).

Hi,

In answer to your question.
- Go to Edit scoring system on the EDIT menu
- then the scoring codes tab
- highlight DNF
- click Edit button on right-hand side
- click radio button next to 'Points for position of num boats in race + N'
- put value for N in value box at bottom
- click OK

Job now done

Kind regards,
Huw
