Rules etc forum

Ralph,
I'm not looking for a definitive ruling (as I guess you're not). but a forum
to discuss the intricacies of various topics, either on the water or Race
Management.
Colin, how would we go about establishing such - is there a need beyond Ralph
and me?

Thoughts?

The newsgroup news:rec.boats.racing covers such topics.

Hi,

I have no problem with you using this group - in fact it's not mine,
it's Simon's, but I'm sure he doesn't mind either. There are various
sailing forums out there but apart from one which is American
(www.catsailor.com), they are not that busy. The best place is the
existing news groups - one specifically deals with rules - I think
it's rec.boats.racing - put your thick-skin on first before posting
however! Or you could start your own yahoo group... Personally I
think this groups is a good place for rules chat because of the
context and the membership...

Colin
