SAIL No WIZARD

I have just downloaded the latest version of SAILWAVE and now find that
the (SAIL No WIZARD) doesen't find any of the sail No's of boats that
have not allready taken part in that series. WHY?

Hi Reg,

I've just tried this. It ignores any boats that are explicitly marked as
excluded form the series. It's OK for boats that are included but have not
yet sailed.

Is you methodology something like: exclude everybody until they sail, then
include them as they get results but after running the sailno wiz...?

i.e. Can you explain a bit more about why it's affecting you...

Colin,

I have had the same problem for several revisions of Sailwave, can’t remember when things changed.

I explicitly hide non sailed competitors so that they are not listed when publishing results. Not finding the sail number because it is marked as a hidden competitor sometimes means I end up having the same information in the file twice; I have forgotten I have hidden non sailed competitors by marking them hidden and I then add a new competitor so I can enter their result when they do sail!

Hi Huw, On the other hand you dont want ambiguitites with boats that really haven’t sailed - I think that’s why I did it. I’ll think about it.
