I encountered an unusual problem today - trying use the wizard to enter finishing times for a race set accordingly with a start time.
The wizard only wanted to take a finish time from the PC clock - couldn’t overwrite that with the recorded finishing time. I had to use Edit Result to do the scoring.

I suspect you had real-time finishes ticked?
