I am sitting watching the Post to Sailracer doing nothing for upwards
of about 10 minutes. Not even a "404, can't find web site".
Sailwave v1.95 Build 7
Firefox, 2.0.0.14
Is this Sailwave, the plug in or the Sailracer web site not doing what
it is supposed to?
Ah - sailwave.co.uk is not responding. Does anyone know if this
venture has become defunct?

'Ah - sailwave.co.uk is not responding.' - that's because it's
sailwave.com! (although it should re-direct from .co.uk as well)
It is also possible you have a DNS resolution problem as well if
certain websites are not responding. Try resetting your router if you
haven't already done do.

Hi Chris,
You trying to upload some race results to SailRacer website? I have
just connected to the home page of SailRacer at using Firefox.
I will try an upload using the SailRacer plug-in shortly and see what
happens for me. I used the process a few weeks ago to upload the
results for the RYA Youth Nationals. I occasionally got a time out
message. Something to bear in mind is that the SailRacer environment is
hosted on computers in the USA! I am not sure but I think they are on
the west coast so there could be problems if you are trying to connect
about 4 pm BST which is 8 am PST, i.e. west coast USA hitting the
Internet I
found the occasions I got connectivity problems retrying once or twice
always established a connection.
The SailRacer environment is to the best of my knowledge alive; it is
providing the foundations for behind the RYA Portsmouth Yardstick
initiative, in trial at present, to allow clubs and class associations
to upload their ‘raw’ race results for analysis. Eventually clubs will
be able to download Portsmouth yardstick ratings for the classes sailed
at their club produced using the same analysis techniques as the
overall scheme.
Please let me know if you continue to get problems as I may be able to
help.
Kind regards,
Huw Pearce
