Sailwave and scoring RC duty

We are new to the program and sail a mixed fleet - our RC duty, shared by each club member during a series, becomes an entry for the member serving at the conclusion of 10 races (we average each member's best 5 scores and that number becomes a score for their RC duty and factored into their individual overall score for the series to arrive at a winner and eventual club champion (end of season).

Right now, I am using the OOD code - but it is producing a score for those on RC that skues the overall scoring - anyone have a suggestion as to the proper way to deal with this circumstance?

Hi

I'm relatively new to sailwave but had the same problem. I have not found a way of automating the process, you can use RDGa for an average score. To achieve your solution, I worked out the score for the ood duty from the average of the other races and then entering this by hand using the RDG entry in the drop down menu for coding a finish in each race.
Hope this is of help

I think the method sugested by David is the best option, but to distinguish it on the published results from the normal RDG, create a new code (e.g. with name RO), scoring like RDG.

The entered points for this code would be the {ave(best 5)} that you calculated manually.
