[sailwave] Digest Number 681

The problem with Series Ties A8.2 is, in my opinion, due to the RYA still
selling YR1 Racing Rules still including A8.2 without any errata both at the
2004 Boat show and 2004 Sailboat.
When I pointed this out to the RYA staff on the stands they were not aware
of the rule change.
This, in my experience, has caused disputes at open meetings this year,
especially where Sailwave is not used,
Regards,
Geoff

Hi Colin,

Here are two files that would be good to have converted to 1.55,
especially the torsdag_varen_2004.blw, since this is an ongoing series
and it would be good to make it working in the new version.

Best Regards

Johan Linger

Hi Johan,

Can you send me the file please. I try and make each new version
backwards
compatible but sometimes miss a tick.

Subject: [sailwave] Use old sailwave files in new version

Hi,

I have been using sailvawe 1.46 and I am trying to start to use 1.55
but I am not allowed to open the old sailvawe files, I always the the
message "Access Denied".

Is there any way to open old files?

I have then also been trying to open the files in version 1.48 and
even 1.45 but get the same message. But the file opens perfect in
1.46.

/Johan

Folks

Has any one seen this problem before?

With Win2K and v1.54 if the user doesn't have admin rights the
publish menu disappears.

With XP and v1.55 the same seems to happen with admin rights.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
Terry

Hi:
I posted results at www.lorc.org/Regatta.htm.
I have had three people tell me that they can not see the results.
I use Netscape, but have also checked IE6.0 and it works fine for me.

Does anyone know why some people are having a problem? Is is an
Active x or javascript problem?

Great software, I can't wait for the Start time fix as I am scoring
multiple handciap and OD fleets under IRC, PHRF TOT and OD.

Yours
John Crawley

Hi,

I have found the same thing. Found that you need "full access" to
the program (admin) when you are logged in.

If i had adminrights it worked fine, but userrights it did not work.

Colin, whats the story?
