Dear Terry,
Could you send the live CCTV video footage of the start to the TV set in
the clubhouse as well so the spectator's in the pub can also see what is
happening (maybe not a good idea ;-))? If so how?
Regards,
Rob

Forgot to mention,
The reason why I thought using digital CCTV recording system on computer
was ideal, was because it allows you to review recorded footage whilst
it continues to record. Therefore if you had a few jump the gun, and
needed to look at the video footage to determine who they were, you can
do so without having to stop recording.
It will not be impossible fitting this (digital CCTV system) to a CB.
The only problem I saw with CB was that it might not be as easy to line
the camera up with the start line as it would turn if the boat turns.
Therefore you would need somebody tending the camera. But then you would
probably have to do that with a DV camera too.
Regards
Terry
Could be onto a winner here, Rob, except that I'd also stream the action to a jury so that they can order up on the spot 360 / 720 penalties
Have just done a Laser Open where barging on the start line was prevalent - I know one should protest, but it's pretty difficult to organise witnesses when everyone is trying to get clear air
Self interest, rather than self policing, seems to be the order of the day now in some classes....

It's amazing what you can achieve with a megaphone & some 'suitable, general observations' to the
fleet as a whole.
At our recent Laser Open, this was used to good effect to remind competitors of Rule 42 issues ;-0
