[sailwave] Elapsed time question

Good Morning Jack,
Don't know if you got an aswer to this but if the race committe insist on elasped time with the one watch you can do this.
Edit the race and for the first fleet set start time as 00:00
For the second fleet 00:05 etc
Then put the results in as finish time not elasped time as say 00:58:50, 01:01:20 etc the correct elasped time is then calculated.

< Hello, I'm so green at using SailWave that I'm hangin' over the side a lot.
< Anyway, my big question is: When we do 2 or 3 rolling starts (five
< minutes between each start) we take down
< every boat's elapsed finish time with the same watch we started the
< sequence for the
< first start with. This of course means that all boats in the first
< start have an extra five minutes elapsed time,
< boats in the second start get an extra 10 minutes of elapsed time and so on.
< The person scoring the races last year said that this does not matter.
< Either the software
< adjusts, or it is ok to score boats with extra elapsed time, since it
< affects them all.
< I have tried to say that we should adjust the elapsed times as we enter
< them into the program,
< but I'm told I worry too much..
< BTW, I'm the VC and have almost qualified for USSA's CRO, just need to
< Who is correct or what in the h@#$% should I do?
