[sailwave] Elapsed time question

I would encourage you NOT to use elapsed time. My point is not that it does
not work in sailwave, but the fact that you have created a single point of
failure, the stopwatch. Should someone loose, drop, restart or otherwise
cause the stopwatch to be inaccurate you have no way of calculating elapsed
time. If you use time of day then you are always able to obtain finish
times.

If you start and finish using the time of day from a GPS, or watches set to
GPS time, then you never have to worry about loosing the stopwatch.

Remember you can always redo a start (general recall, abandonment), a finish
only happens once.

Good Morning Jack,
Don't know if you got an aswer to this but if the race committe insist on
elasped time with the one watch you can do this.
Edit the race and for the first fleet set start time as 00:00
For the second fleet 00:05 etc
Then put the results in as finish time not elasped time as say 00:58:50,
01:01:20 etc the correct elasped time is then calculated.
