Sounds like no functionality will be lost, just a slight learning curve will be required to enter elapsed time.

I'm extremely confused now, but I suspect the problems is that I have not
made myself clear enough...I'm not saying that the feedback of an elapsed time will be removed from
Sailwave (that would be wrong) - for example it would still be reflected in
each result cell and still be a column in the published race results. What
I am saying is that to enter an elapsed time as a result you would enter it
as a start time of 0 and a finish time of the elapsed time; mathematically
it's identical and simplifies the user interface. There are no side
effects WRT watches and handicaps etc that I can see.....Regards,
