Does anyone know whether Sailwave can be set up to automatically access .blw
and ratings files from a Cloud Server such as Skydrive?
I ask because I am often asked to make corrections to the results database
at times when I have no intention of going near the sailing club where the
results file is sitting on a computer. If the live version of the .blw file
was somewhere which could be accessed over the internet it would be far
easier than trying to persuade someone to go to the club to e-mail me a copy
of the file.
Has anyone tried setting up Sailwave in this way? Have you any hints on how
to get it to work on Windows computers?
So you still doing results then! I frequently use Sailwave with
.BLW files stored on Dropbox cloud. Haven’t tried SkyDrive but don’t
see why it would not work.
Dropbox is good because it keeps copies of your changes, which has
saved me on a couple of occasions. Dropbox becomes a folder under
your documents folder in Windows. Also you can access files via a
web browser.
Kind regards,
Huw
