[sailwave] Flights - Displaying Results

Hi,
You will have the same with codes, but there is a "format option" so that you can show both the code and the points. You can even add a space or any sign to separate code and points: DNF-66

Also I have renamed the race coloumn to something like AB+CD instead of R1. It could be a little tricky to rename it to "red and green" an so on....

Anyway, Colin could put the starts in the header, when you publish "Race tables", not only the summary.....

Regards
Martin

<tt>
One of my biggest gripes is looking at the results of an event (where I wasn't in attendance) and<BR>
trying to work out who raced against whom in each flight/race.<BR>
<BR>
I have seen some results displayed as say, Race 1a, 1b 1c etc in separate columns, which helps to<BR>
see the flight info but obviously requires more paper or a tiny font to print the results on a<BR>
single page width.<BR>
<BR>
Sailwave does not lend itself easily to changing displays (without the pain of publishing to Excel<BR>
etc) so I suspect that the current method of all results in one column is the best compromise.<BR>
<BR>
What do others think & is it possible in some future release to consider these points??<BR>
<BR>
<BR>

Ralph,

You can go some way with Martin's suggestions; here for example is your
Topper flight series, tweaked to include start names and race names...

http://results.sailwave.com/toppers.htm

... there is lots moe than can be done but start name and race names are
probably worthwhile... Each race table shows the starts that it spans.

Hi Mike,

Is it possible to have the sailwave file to see all the settings?

Yes, Ralph has kindly donated it and it will be included in the 1.62
examples folder. Until then you can download it using this link:-

  http://www.sailwave.com/stuff/TopperFlights.blw

It's probably in the 1.61 examples folder too, but not in this tweaked form.

Regards,
Colin
