Sailwave Help

Hi

I wonder if you can help me and point me to where I can find some solutions

As a club we run keeler racing with about 40-50 boats . We race onc race a week over say a 12 week series, so a 12 race series

Every week we get a new handicap from racetrack and it needs to be entered into sailwave to caculate that weeks race

We are using the TCF option and put in the first TCF into the competitor entry and this works well for race one. In race two we have to edit in the new TCF via the edit result one by one. This is a very long and time consuming way as the way I see it we have to enter the race and then re do the TCF. Seems to take a long time and we would like to have the new TCF in before we commence racing

Is there a easier way or solution. Is there or could there be a button do not re score previous scored races ?

Or am I using the wrong handicap system ?

Love the software and learning a lot

Cheers

Ian

Hi Ian,

There is no reason why you can’t enter the new ratings before the race.

Sailwave can have a rating for each race for every competitor and you can enter this at any time - you can do it before the race starts

It is very quick to enter these once you have entered the first one and pressed enter. simply on the keyboard press down arrow and enter and you are editing the next.

You can sort them in Sailno order or boatname order before you do this so that it matches your list of ratings.

You can press F6 then R and it will change the display to display all the ratings.

If you have a really large number of boats you could automate it by using a custom template and the NHC mode in debug/external mode. With this and the correct template it would populate them all from an excel sheet automatically for you. If you want to know more about this you can give me a call or skype me (see below)

There is no need to have the do not rescore previous races as Sailwave can use the correct ratings for each race.

Hope that helps
