Overall, the flights system worked like a dream (fortunately, the 1st & 2nd place tie break did not 
go to A8.2) 
 
When you get round to working on the flights section, you may wish to give some thought to the 
re-scoring options. 
We had a number of instances where a race position/result needed changing which we did through the 
Tools\Rearrange recorded places menu. This needed extra care to make sure that we did not mess up 
the results (i.e lots of backups!). 
 
In the 'normal' version (when not selecting App KE option??) it is a simple process to enter the new 
position then click on score which recalculates everything. When using flights, positions are not 
changed (obviously) 
 
If possible, it would be great if the rescoring, based on the flight information set up in the race 
info, could be automatic. 
i.e rescore is the default with an option not to amend other places (for say RDG)if necessary. This 
is a wish list rather than a major bug & should be prioritise accordingly!! 
 
If you or anyone else would like a copy of the file please let me know. 
The event was a Topper Nationwide at Rutland with 133 boats split into 4 'flights' on a round robin 
basis with 6 races over the weekend

Sorry for delay. It must be a bug that I will make sure is sorted out by 
the next release. Apologies for the inconvenience, and thanks for promoting 
Sailwave... You can get around it by not ticking the box to delete the 
competitors and delete them by hand before reimporting; this leaves the race 
information intact.

I have prepared an Excel csv file to import a competitor list into SW 1.58 
Prior to the event, this file will be updated for new entries & 
potentially a re-allocation of boats 
to flights (to keep flight seedings even) 
 
There are 7 columns which I have mapped to SW columns during the 
import process & suddenly I have 
100+ competitors sitting in SW - BRILLIANT COLIN!! 
To check that an updated csv import will work, I have imported 
the file again, ticking the check box 
to delete all existing series competitors & their results (to 
cover the change in flight allocations 
& any other info) 
 
Unfortunately, the 2nd import has also deleted all the races I 
have set up with Flight/start 
information etc. 
This is not a total disaster as re-inputting race data again is 
obviously much easier than inputting 
150+ competitors. 
 
Have I done something wrong or is it possible that ticking the 
check box deletes the competitors' 
results by deleting the whole race rather than deleting the 
result for each competitor?? 
 
I can obviously work around the problem by asking the Class 
Association to let me have updates for 
new entrants only but as they are currently converted to Sail 100 
which presumably does not have 
this problem, I am trying to let them see how great SW is (sorry Bob!)
