[sailwave] Import CSV

Hi Ian,

Sometime ago this was not a problem importing race result with multiple race. Now you have to import “race by race”

Helm,SailNo,RaceNo,Place

Name1,1234,R1,1

be sure to just have “numbers” not “code”

Codes could be imported like this:

Helm,SailNo,RaceNo, Code

Name1,1234,R1,OCS

Hi,

I am having trouble importing from a CSV File. I have searched the
list archives but could not find an explanation, apologies if I have
missed it. I have looked at the help and cannot see what the problem is.

I have an 8 race series to import.

Importing as a series summary fills in the names and competitor info
but not race data.

Importing as Race Results displays a dialog stating “Error: Line 2:
no race number specified”.

As a test, I have reduced the data to the following:

Helm,SailNo,R1,R2

Name1,1234,1,1

… which is saved as a Windows CVS file. Race data is as positions

rather than times.

No doubt I am misunderstanding the data format in some way but I

would be very grateful if anyone can help me identify where I am

going wrong.

Many thanks

Ian

Thanks Anders, that worked.

I quite often get results in other formats or from web pages. I am quite happy manipulating the data in to a format which Sailwave can import but having to import it one race by race is very time consuming. Being able to import a whole series including the results would be a great help.
