Sailwave in use in Texel Dutch Open

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know we're using Sailwave to score the 2003
Texel Dutch Open Championships for open catamarans this week.
Just completed the first two races with 64 contestants in two fleets.
We expect many more contestants tomorrow as this week culminates
in "the World's Biggest Cat Race", the Round Texel Race this coming
Saturday.

Best regards,

Hi Jeroen,

Good news! A very good friend of mine, Martin Stephens, is crewing a
Tornado (in both events) and I've been looking at the Texel web site; if you
have wind it looks like yet another great regatta. Good luck in both
events; are you really going single-handed around Texel...? We have a
Dart18 TT here at Mumbles and the Met Ofice forecast for Saturday is exactly
0 miles per hour... again... !!

My kids have discovered MSN Messenger and it's been tricky to get Sailwave
dev time this week, but they're out surfing tonight and Scriabin is on the
CD, and hopefully I'll get something done...

Can you say Hi to Wouter Hijink for me if you see him...

Have a great weekend...

Regards,
Colin

Hi Colin,

Good news! A very good friend of mine, Martin Stephens, is crewing

a

Tornado (in both events) and I've been looking at the Texel web

site;
Martin is here, together with skipper Cristopher Needham. They
haven't sailed in the Texel Dutch Open yet.

if you

have wind it looks like yet another great regatta. Good luck in

both

events;

There is quite enough wind: today we had 5 Bft along the coast; made
for nasty waves.

are you really going single-handed around Texel...?

About 15% of the entries are for single-handers: Dart 18 one-up,
Hobie 17, FX One, even a 25 year-old Prindle 15. In a group of 500+
boats, you're never alone. And there are many, many support boats.

We have a
Dart18 TT here at Mumbles and the Met Ofice forecast for Saturday

is exactly

0 miles per hour... again... !!

We expect 4 Bft. for The Race, so no problems here...

Can you say Hi to Wouter Hijink for me if you see him...

I've just met his colleague from the Texel Rating Committee, and I've
transferred your message.

Hi Jeroen,

Can you say Hi to Wouter Hijink
for me if you see him...

I've just met his colleague from the
Texel Rating Committee, and I've
transferred your message.

Thanks. Martin is sending text messages back that I'm posting on our club
forum. So far he's mentioned Dutch lager and Dutch girls; nothing about
sailing... :-))

I understand there is a party tonight; have fun...

Regards,
Colin
