Sailwave Information

Simon,

Thanks your message welcoming me to the Sailwave Group.

I am a Laser Sailor, Grand Master, and investigating the use of Sailwave for
my own club, Napier Sailing Club in NZ. The club is quite willing to become
a contributor, but I wish to become familiar with the program before taking
a recommendation to the Sailing Committee.

The club operates racing mainly on a Personal Handicap System which at
present is calculated manually and I am trying to determine if we can use
Sailwave to replace this system.

The main problems I have come across are that there appear to be no
instructions with regard to the use and capabilities of the Sailwave Program
and also how the Ratings are computed and utilised into the sheet.

I am fairly literate in Excel, capable of a little VBA, and I have a son who
makes a living at it so can get help if required..

Any information or advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and regards.

Keith Strudwick.

Hi Kith,

I've created a speciic forum on Sailwave-Net for clubs to describe their
current PH methods. I'll generalise them all such that they can all be
implemented; whicy may involve just adding a scripting (e.g. VB) capbility
to Sailwave.

Regards,
