[sailwave] PDA Input device

Terry,

Did you ever get a response on this. I have a Garmin IQ (Palm Software) and
would love to be able to take finishes on it and sync it to Sailwave. Wow,
what a great idea!

If you have any ideas? Can you please respond to my other e-mail?

No, nothing yet,

I guess I could do it using excel.

However if thought through properly, one would be able to have
several people collect finishing times on their PDA's and then hand
these devices in to race control after the race to tally all the
scores in sailwave.

I was involved in some of the discussion some time ago (but since
have been snowed under with other things).

One of the main problems I can see is the input mechanism on the PDA
(if one is using a stylus type PDA like a Palm etc.). Essentially,
what is going to be the easiest way of entering sail numbers?
Stylus/graffiti don't lend themselves to fast/accurate data entry!
