What have you set up as the discard profile in the scoring system. If
there
are no discards then there will be nothing to discard first, if you see
what
I mean...
1,1,1,1,1,2
Practice race is being discarded when calculating the points, but still
included in the Total.

Oh I see. Yes in this context the Total column is not that useful; the Nett
column should be correct through. All I can suggest is hiding the Total
column or splitting the file into two and publishing the practice race
separately. There is a need to totally ignore a race for many many reasons
but it's not implemented yet...
