[sailwave] race weighting

That is correct!

I was working with the Norwegian Laser Club's ranking, and they are using this formula:

( Starters – score + 1 ) * cathegory

wich is a high point system that multiplies with the weight (Cathegory).

When weighting, why not just use a formula? Add the funktion you want by typing it in the weighting window....

currently the implementation multiples in a low point context and divides in
a high point context. this is so that you can swap between high and low
point systems and get sensible results. presumably the problem is that if
always using a high point system and you're *expecting* a multiplication by
the weight, you get a surprise. is that a correct diagnosis of the problem
Hi Martin (et al)

I've added a switch so that you can specify lowpoint=multiply and
highpoint=divide or visa versa. I don't want to include the weight in the
formula becuse its used independently of formulas and there is a chance
it'll get used twice; but I'm sure after review that problem is overcomable
if it really would be useful to include the weight in the points formula.

Splended!
That will work OK!

There is another minor thing. When using the tools+rearrange recorded places; I can adjust the place from wich I want to subrtract, but the bullet don't change to the Subtract radiobutton.... Wich have caused that even though I wanted too subtract, and adjusted from wich place I wanted to do this, I added instead.... I didn't like too keep in mind wich race to do the operation too either...
