[sailwave] Re: Automated timing system

There is a relatively simple auto sound system called ''Auto hoot'
Never used it but for £160 ish , seems to simplify the timing bit.

GPS, uwave links, transponders, etc seem a bit over the top!

Agree strongly with earlier remarks, use 24 hr time always, and enter any way
you wish then into Sailwave.

Although related to Sailwave we are starting to 'clutter' Colins UG with
general sailing stuff.
I often have topics which I would like advice on (rules, protests, etc.)
Is there a general sailing forum that any one knows of?
regards
Andy

1. I find autohoot quite brilliant, very accurate and it saves at least
one man on board the committee boat. Contact Richard Russell for more
information. www.r-p-r.co.uk (or .com??)
2. If anyone can find a way of identifying 2 dozen toppers finishing in a
bunch electronically, I'd love to know!!!!

Richard
