About the only thing that's available for tablets (Android) is Sailing Stopwatch. (https://sites.google.com/site/ilpolehtola/) It's only useful for timing finishes, but sometimes it helps if you have a big fleet and enough people on the committee boat (and an Android device that has a bright screen!). All it does is output times in a Sailwave-compatible CSV file.

If you have a good data connection offshore, you might run a VNC client on an Android tablet and remotely control another instance of Sailwave onshore, but it would probably be simpler just to have a laptop with you running the software. We have been updating Sailwave offshore during races and using a 3G connection to save the file to Dropbox as a backup, and then publishing preliminary results as the CR is heading for the dock.
