[sailwave] Re: Registration

Colin,
Yes you do need to register with PAYPAL, but that is the only way they can receive the Credit Card or Checking Account payments. Register with Ebay and then credit cards can be received without credit card preregistration. Ebay does require a very simple signup for the buyer, but after that processing credit cards can be received directly. That would be the simplest task for you.

Hi Fred,

OK, thanks for the information.

I've just come back from a very nice meal with my family; if any of
you ever sail into Swansea Bay in Wales I can heartily recommend
Patricks restaurant in Mumbles.

I talked to my wife (Sheena) about the situation and she understands
that perhaps it was all a bit premature and micky-mouse. I think the
thing to do now is just get it up to speed and then go from there.

Hopefully the group can understand my slightly contradictory postings
on this issue... In many ways I'd still love to keep it a free
resource for the lifetime of the project (as previously stated many
times) so perhaps the major sponsor route would be better. We'll
see, but for now I'm going to concentrate on getting the damn thing
working again. Whatever happens I'll make sure that existing
registered users get their money's worth...
