Hi Jon. That does the job. Many thanks for your time.
Best regards
Ian
Hi Ian,
My apologies - I intended you to send you the link for the latest installer which is https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/220425/sw2_22_1.exe
This is an installer for Sailwave 2.22.1 and also runs a program Teamveiwerfix automatically when it installs.
You can if you like just run the Teamviewerfix program with 2.19.8 which you can get from https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/220425/Teamviewerfix.EXE
The link I actually sent you was to the very latest version of Sailwave which is an exe only. (so you get a bonus)
I was trying to be clever answering it from my phone rather than getting of my backside and going to the desktop. Sorry.
Jon

Hi Jon
I assume it was intended I replace the existing .exe file (2.19.8) with the bin file you sent (2.23.4). Windows 10 initially wasn’t going to let it run but I intervened and “ran it anyway”, Avira scanned it and it ran OK without Teamviewer. Unfortunately with teamviewer loaded it refused with the Windows message "Sailing Scoring Software has stopped working. BTW this was with Teamviewer 12 - I updated it i n case there was an update there but not the case. I guess this is not what you expected. I will revert to 2.19.8. It’s not a problem to me but if I can be of assistance let me know.
Best regards
Ian

Hi Ian
Team viewer tries to patch other programs unfortunately it doesn’t always do a good job.

Which is the latest installer also contains a program which stops TeamViewer attempting to patch other programs.
So if you run this version it should be fine. Jon

Hi I have been trying to load Sailwave onto a newly acquired laptop Dell Latitude E6420 running Windows 10 but it refuses with a warning that Winhas found a problem and is looking for a solution. Its the first time any software has caused a problem. Any thoughts?
