Hi Mark
I have just had a look at the NOR & Schedule.
Teams shall sail in a round robin, the number of races to be sailed to be as entry numbers,
time and weather permits. Semi-finals may be sailed if circumstances permit and a final series
will be sailed.
I presume this means that there will be semi-finals (best of 3 or 5?) if time, followed by a Final on the same basis.
I would guess that a simple matrix of teams, showing wins & losses would suffice (plus a few grey cells!).
The biggest aspect of TR is producing race schedules.
I have quite a few schedules of my own which are based upon the OA supplying boats.
In your case however, this is not an issue so the schedule is simply
A v B A v C
C v D D v B
E v F E v G
G v H F v H
etc etc
The Wilson scoring system was written by Bob McPherson, who is also the author of Sail 100.
I think he has something in his system for Team racing which you might want to have a look at
Otherwise it is as I mentioned above
Another source of research is (if you don’t have the equivalent in the US)
Have a look at the downloads section
If you have any further questions, let me know
Regards
Ralph

The event is the International 14 World Team Racing Championship; we are expecting seven to ten teams and have two days to complete the competition. The NOR states that the format will consist of a qualifying series followed by a final series.
Previous World Team Racing Championships have used a double round robin followed sometimes by a semi-final and then the final, other times by just the final. The Swiss format used at the Wilson does not really work with ten or less teams.

Hi Mark
SW does not cover TR
I have quite a bit of experience with TR, from simple round robin leagues, to Wilson Swiss League.
What format is your event using?

Ralph

Has anyone used Sailwave to score Team racing? If so do you have some sample results? If not can anyone recommend a Team Racing Scoring program?
Thanks

the skippers mailing address (snail mail) and cell phone numbers added to
the contact window? Thanks.–Sherri
