Hi Sailwave users in New Zealand,

The next stop for a Sailwave in person session is Auckland on Thursday 17th October 2024 between 7pm & 9pm at Kohimarama Yacht Club.

There is no agenda/program for the evening but the following have been flagged by those who have said they are planning to attend:

  • Qualifying and Final series/fleets
  • Scoring penalties/ code and %
  • Links to sailwave files
  • Setting up burgees / personalising
  • How to score then combine & re-sort multiple flights.
  • Flighting for nationals
  • General upskill sailwave.
  • setting up races and results
  • Progressive handicapping. Tie in with other clubs handicaps.

I look forward to meeting everyone who is able to attend.

The final stop for a Sailwave in person session is Canterbury region on Thursday 24th October 2024 between 7pm & 9pm at Naval Point Club Lyttelton.

There is no agenda/program for the evening but the following have been flagged by those who have said they are planning to attend:

  • Weather correction factors
  • Use of Fleets, divisions, flights and subsequent publishing.
  • Countering Handicap creep
  • Recording and resulting more than one series in the same file (often club racing for a series does not follow on as R1, R2 etc) how can I link races to produce a result.
  • An explanation of all the handicapping types on offer and where they best fit/suit.
  • An overview of flight colours/assignments.
