Hi, Alphonse!
I've never had 400 boats, but 200 I've had...
In the "official" releases of SW, performance have never been a problem to me.
And I'm not talking about 10 minutes before I call it a problem. 10 minutes would have given me a hart attack!
You could try it: Export your 400 boats Opti race to ASCII text, and import it to SW!

Hi Mark
I'd suggest exporting the overall results to an Excel spread sheet. Once
in spread sheet format you can sort by fleet without changing any of the
other scoring information.By the way, my first involvement with scoring was an Optimist regatta.
In a sort of last minute way I got pulled in to be the chief score
keeper at the 2004 US Opti Nationals. I used a program called St. Pete's
Scorer For Optis. This program was set up specifically for Opti events.
It would publish exactly the kind of information you are looking for.
But the program was not really designed for an event the size of the US
Nationals! There were over 400 participants. over the course of 4 days
there were something like 16 races with four flights per race. Once the
finish order was plugged in, a 2.4 GH Pentium 4 churned away for about
10 minutes!Has anyone here used Sailwave for an event of that size? I've been
wondering how it would have performed. After the Opti Nationals I was asked to act as score keeper for the
Bellport Bay Yacht Club's 2004 Labor Day series. It was a much smaller
event (about 65 boats). I wound up using St. Pete's for the Optis, and
Sailwave for the other fleets. Despite my best efforts, I wound up
getting asked to be the Season Scorer for the local YRA, which is why I
joined the Sailwave users group.Regards,

HI All,
I just discovered the the US Optimist Dinghy organization scores red blue
and white fleet as a group and then scores them as individual fleets.
However, they dont actually rescore the fleet separately rather they just
map the relative positions in the overall standing to 1 through 10 in the
respective fleet.Basically, they decided that rescoring would confuse the kids when somebody
below them in the overall standings winds up above them in the fleet
scoring. Is there anyway to do this now in Sailwave? Thanks
Mark
