Sailwave v2-35-1

A new EXECUTABLE ONLY version 2.35.1 has been released with the Windratings increased by an extra 50% which I hope will be long enough to solve these additional ORC ratings - I don’t want to make them unnecessarily long as it just wastes memory and make things bit slower so let me know if this works for you. I thought it would be a 10-minute job but 3 hrs later here we are - there are lots of places which needed to be increased.

You can download the zip file from here
Sailwave2-35-1.zip

Make sure you have the latest FULL INSTALL version from the Sailwave website 2.34.0 installed and then after downloading from the link above unzip the file and place the 3 files in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Sailwave folder replacing the existing ones.

Version 2.35.x also has a new feature of Copy and Paste of scoring codes so when you have a lot of Black flags just give this code to the first one and then you can use control C to copy and control V to paste into all the others - just an example but there are many other uses. The Zip file also includes updated plug-ins for the IrishSailing and the RRS Racing Rules of Sailing that have been updated since the release of 2.34.

Another integration with Sailwave that is available, from Sailing Club Software who have developed, with assistance from Jon (Sailwave), is an app to allow import and update of competitor information from their SailEvent event management system.

Sailwave was trickier than other results programs because it is strictly desktop. Nevertheless with cooperation and ingenuity the SailEvent Import App for Sailwave is itroduced.

The Import App is a Windows application that lets you synchronise SailEvent entry lists to their corresponding Sailwave series files. No more downloading and uploading CSVs.

Suppose you are running a Solo meeting and you have 50 entries in SailEvent. Open the corresponding, but as yet empty, Sailwave series file. Run the Import App to connect the series to the Solo meeting in SailEvent. All 50 entries are copied straight into Sailwave.

Then you have some last-minute entries, a couple of cancellations, you correct a few typos. Run Import again and Sailwave is back in sync.

The Import App is available with SailEvent paid-for plans. The installation package and instructions can be downloaded from >Settings >Integrations.

Many thanks to Jon Eskdale from Sailwave for his advice and input.
